Everyone is coming over tomorrow to open gifts, which will be fun!! We got to Skype with C's family down in Moroni, which was fun. Bandit~ of course was spoiled... is spoiled!! He is the best thing we have ever bought!! He makes us so happy!!
We are also spoiled!! We are going to VEGAS the end of January!! That is our Christmas to each other!! We are both really excited~ we are staying with our friend Lightning Strikes and her family. We may or may not be going to see... GEORGE STRAIT!! WOO HOO!!! Well I hope everyone has had a great Christmas!! We love you all!! J,D and B

HaPpY bIrThDaY jArEd!!

Last weekend, for Jared's birthday he wanted to go visit his brother. So we drove down to Moroni and hung out with Corey and his family. We planned a "USU/Football" themed party. If you know Jared at all... he LOVES him some FOOTBALL!! We made hot dogs, nachos, treats, and we even had... BEER!! Yep Butter Beer!!(forgot, until we were almost home from the store, Jared doesn't drink carbonated beverages of any kind) EPIC FAIL!! Then some of Corey's friends came over to play games, which was fun. Jared and their friend were talking and they both served in the same mission. Like I have said before... we can't go anywhere with out him knowing someone. We both ended up getting sick while we were there, which makes everything that much better. Bandit enjoyed having the girls to play with... they wore him out!! It was a good weekend. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JARED!! I LOVE YOU!! ~D getting ready to play games

Last year at the sleepover, J made waffles for all the girls and was excited to do it again. Much to my surprise, last week he came home from work and said that he saw "rainbow waffles" online and wanted to make them for the girls~ okay?? I was alittle worried, but a picture is worth 1000 words...
Aren't they the cutest and sweetest faces you've ever seen!! We had so much fun!!! Thanks H and L for sharing your girls with us and allowing us to be a part of their lives!! I hope everyone has a happy and safe Halloween!! Love D~

Leaves are Falling all Around...

I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!! I love all the colors and the coolness in the air. I also love PUMPKIN PIE, PUMPKIN ICE CREAM, PUMPKIN ANYTHING!! I am looking forward to this fall for many reasons. But the biggest reason is... I am having the 2nd Annual Auntie Sleepover with my nieces. I did it last year and it was SO much fun!! We painted pumpkins, painted toes, watched Halloween movies, played in the leaves. I look forward to spending time with my nieces and nephew every chance I get!! They make my heart so happy!! I hope everyone has a nice Halloween and is able to spend it with the ones they love!! ~D

It'S bEeN a LoNg, BuT wOnDeRfUl SuMmEr

I think the last time I wrote was mainly about Bandit!! Yes he is still the apple of our eye and the love of our life. Every night we sit and play with him and we are actually able to have a conversation, it's nice. OK OK enough about him. Jared and I are still staying with his parents, we didn't make "the cut" to move to Smithfield (there were 4 available lots and 6 applicant- oh well) We are both OK with that. We are now looking at the homes being built in Nibley. Not where we were thinking we wanted to go, but we are both thinking this is where we are needed. Someone else knows where he wants us... so we are just waiting for that to evolve and we will be busy building a house. Our summer was busy, but we loved it. We did the Relay and we are both on the committee for the 2013 Relay!! We just went to a camp-out with the other members of the committee and we had so much fun. We (as a team) are going to change the way we do things this year and see if that helps raise the money we want. We'll see. We did go to MONTANA at the end of August and while we were there we celebrated my mom's 60th Birthday!! It was so fun to see her face and how happy she was. Thanks to my Aunt Peggy and Sherri I couldn't have done it without them. Then we went to the BIG GRIZ GAME!! They played SD State~ whoever that is. Jared had a BLAST at the game and I had fun sitting out at the tailgate with some of the family. We always enjoy our time up in Montana with all my family. It was fun to go, but really fun to come back and get our sweet Bandit!! That was a hard thing for me to do... leave him. I cried all the way to Pocatello. Not only for leaving him, but a dear friend lost her husband the night before and my emotions we already on edge. We got him back and all is well. Sorry this is a long one, but it's been a long time. I promise to do better... I love you all ~D

Relay for Life 2112

Well, it started out warm(almost too warm) J, H (j's sister) and I set everything up and got things where they needed to be... that didn't last long. Dinner needed to be eaten, kids needed entertained and Mother Nature wanted to see us all run around like chickens with our heads cut off trying to get everything that couldn't get wet into a dry spot. (harder than it sounds when the wind is blowing 13 million miles per hour)oh phew... we made it. Most of our team went to sleep between 3am and 4am. J's dad, cousin and I stayed up all night!! by the time it ended I was exhausted beyond belief. I was showering and I was resting my elbow on the wall while I was scrubbing in the shampoo. All in all we made it happen and it was a great experience for us. But there was one thing that happened that I just can't stop thinking about... as people walk around the track and you go the opposite direction because you are doing committee errands. While I was walking against the crowd, I noticed this man walking alone, wearing a pink shirt...(didn't think much of it because a lot of husbands support their wives and all their silly ideas...trust me I know)I did what I needed to do and decide to finish my lap back to my camp still going against the crow, I saw that same man. There wasn't 1 lap that Vince missed... he walked the ENTIRE 24 hours. What a inspiration to me and everyone that was there. Every time he walked by our camp we offered him water, otter pops, pretty much anything he wanted he could have had. He had no one effected by cancer, he did it for everyone else. His selfless love was for everyone that has or has been affected by cancer. He showed everyone there the true reason of why we do what we do... WE LOVE YOU VINCE!!! THANKS FOR ALL YOU'VE GIVEN US!! I want to encourage each of you to get involved with your communities Relay for Life... you will never be the same and neither will be people we are helping!!! Love Always, Danielle

As the Relay for Life draws closer

Today, (Sunday) officially starts the week of Relay... I (and some of my team members) have worked so hard on this. We really want it to be a successful and enjoyable event. We have a lot of little things we are raffling of such as... a queen size quilt made by my mom and quilted by my aunt, we have 2 Little Girl baskets. ( Our nieces wanted to be a part of it so that is what they did. The money they make goes towards their goal of $100.00) We have a company out of Ogden that makes water back packs, that has so graciously donated the prototype Breast Cancer awareness pack for us to raffle off. The company is Geigerrig. Amazing people!! We are going to have a FISH POND for the kids, we are also selling Air Heads, Fun Dips, Suckers, Coke products, water, and COTTON CANDY!! We are so excited!! Part of the whole relay thing is WHY? Why do you relay? I have been asked this numerous times and I always go back to my childhood... my mom was a single mom trying to go to school and raise 2 daughters less than a year apart. I think of the the things we got,(we never went without)and the places we got to go, and the friendships that my sister and I will cherish forever, and the memories (way too many to blog about) that we are able to share with our own families... so I guess the answer to the question... WHY DO YOU RELAY IS... Yep it is because of everything they have given me, everything they have done for me... it is the very least I can do so no one else that they love has to go through what they did. I love you Boppa and Granny!! This is all for you... you will always be my sunshine...

It's been one HOT summer

Well, here it is July 1st... can you believe it?? Where did June go? It has been so hot here. We are trying to keep cool by being out in the shade, staying in the ACed house (which doesn't work when you have a 10 week old puppy) Jared and I took Bandit up the canyon on Saturday to play in the water... nope. He was just as happy to lay under a tree and chew a stick. We also have gone to SONIC to get us "Happy Hour" drinks and we'll get him an ice cream cone!! He loves it, and yes he is a spoiled dog. But his all time favorite treat is... He LOVES his otter pops!! He's such a good boy. He's defiantly has a fun personality!! WE LOVE YOU BANDIT!!

No Longer a Void...

Well, we have had Bandit for 10 days now and life has been great!! He is the best thing... except when he chews on stuff(ie the nieces and nephew)piddles on the floor, barks, runs away chasing the cat. He is a pretty good puppy, love attention, he is kennel trained at night and LOVES to go see his "Aunt Amy and Uncle Mark" in the car. Our routine at night is to take him out to potty about 10 and then go down to our room, he jumps up onto our bed with his blankie in tow ( I mad him a fleece blanket and he drags it around everywhere he goes) and forms it into a comfy little bed and go to sleep for a while. I sit there and watch him sleep and can't stop thinking what a life saver he has been, he has filled a void in my heart that I never thought could be or would be filled. I didn't know I could love something so much, even when I am cleaning up an accident or getting after him for biting... my heart is so full of love for him. I am grateful that I have him...
