An over flowing HEART!!
As tomorrow (May 11th) draws closer, my heart overflowing with love, support, luck, and all the other fun words I could use. Tomorrow will be the 6th year since my FIRST brain surgery... Holy cow!! I can't believe I have made it this far. I remember the day before my surgery my parents came and we went down to Salt Lake of the U of U to have my "pre-op" appointment... the only thing I remember is they insisted I take a pregnancy test?!?! ARE YOU SERIOUS?? I did it and told them that if they bothered to read my file that was in the nurses had she would know that it was impossible for it to happen, but whatever makes her feel better. Anyway, with it being Mother's Day and my dad's birthday all on the same day J and I decided that we wanted to take my parents out to eat. (J's parents weren't with us until late that night) As we were eating, you could see that my mom was getting upset and we asked her if she was ok? She grabbed my hand and said " promise me you'll hang on so your sisters and uncle can come see you." I rolled my eyes. I knew this would come up, naturally, but neither Jared and I felt that was the time or the place to discuss it. So we finished our dinner and headed back to the bed and breakfast where we were meeting J's family. Every one was there visiting me and each other, the next thing I know is I am crying... it has hit me that this could be the last time I have both my families together, if I don't tell them I love them will they know? I then remember that in my hospital bag I had pictures of my nieces... I was SO afraid of forgetting who they were. Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep that night, had to be a the hospital by 6 or 630 (you know what a morning person I am) so they got me ready and came in and got my IV started and then they gave me some time with my family... I asked J to give me a blessing. We invited my parents to stay and they did... WOW what an amazing experience!! After the blessing my dad had tears running down his cheeks, made me feel so happy to know that the spirit was there not only for me and J but for my family who are not members... surgery came and went and I insisted that I WALK to the bathroom alone!! I did it!! an that is why I was home in 2 days!! I sit and think back at the way things could have happened, and the way they did and I get tears in my eyes thinking of all the great blessings that I have. I am grateful for my family and my friends and all the things I have learned from having to go through this. (J has some pretty funny stories about me being on the pain meds... I'm sure he'd LOVE to share them with you if you ask)
" I stand all amazed at the love Jesus offers me"...
Love you all

Busy weekend...
J's brother and his family came to Logan for B's 7th birthday party. I was fun to see everyone. Friday we went out to the Wood's and played games until after 2am and Saturday I had a BRIDAL SHOWER for my BESTEST friend "Lightning Strikes", then we all met up at the Roper's and watched the guys TRY to cut down the HUGE branch off the Chinese elm tree in their back yard... needless to say, they got it down, but not without hitting the house.OOPS!! It isn't as bad as you would think, but it's still not good. We all got up and went to church and after I wanted to take some pictures of C,C,M and P in their Easter dresses that Great Grandma Hugie made... those are some cute girls!! All in all it was a FANTASTIC weekend!! Love to All

SPRING BREAK!!! I had the privilege of taking two of my cutest, sweetest nieces to a "real live" movie today. What a great way to spend a couple hours. I met them at Cookie Cutters and SURPRISED them. They had no idea what my plan was. I told them that I was there to take them to a movie and K said " a real live one". We got our tickets and we headed to get our treats. I got them each "a kid pack" that consisted of popcorn, drink and a candy, as we were getting settled, K turned to me and said " my very own popcorn and drink... this is the best day EVER!!" As the movie got started and everyone was settling in, both girls scooted right up against me (one on each side) I just held them as tight as I could, thinking to myself " Life doesn't get much better than this" I am with 2 people that I LOVE very much, and I was thinking of all the many things that I have been blessed with. Sure, there are somethings that I want, that I don't have yet, but at that moment in time I was the HAPPIEST I have been in a long time!! I love being able to spend time with my family especially my nieces and nephew. For a moment in time, my life was complete...

Mixed Emotions!!
I have so many mixed emotions!! Besides living with my inlaws, the whole house thing, one of me near and dear friends is getting MARRIED!!! (oh and the sad part is she is MOVING to LAS VEGAS) I am so sad that she is leaving. I go see her at least 2 times a week at her work ( which is also J's work. It's all his fault we met) and we can talk about EVERYTHING under the sun. We share alot of the same interests... music, crafts, and most importantly...DR PRPPER!! I am so happy for her and her new family, but sad that she is leaving. I Love you Lighting-Strikes!!! Good Luck in SUNNY Las Vegas!!

It's Been WAY too Long
Holy Moly!! It has been literally months since I have blogged. (not that anyone reads it.) Well, a lot has happened since I wrote last. We had a great summer, I did Girl Scout camp, spent some time in Montana with my parents, we started a Relay for Life team and had a bake sale, and a garage sale. ( we started it the end of May and the Relay was the beginning of July) I thoroughly enjoyed my summer off.
School started and we headed up to Montana for the University of Montana Football game, and life has been crazy since. We talked about what are next step should be and we have come to the conclusion that we want a house of our very own!! Exciting right?? Well, we have great friends that have given us some super advise over the years and one of our friends encouraged us to apply for the " Non-Profit" homes. ( the ones that you have to help build with other families) So, reluctantly we called and asked about it. We figured because we didn't have any kids we wouldn't qualify. That seems to be the main "qualification" now a days. But, we fall right into the qualifications!! I am so excited!! Now the hard stuff... PAPERWORK!! And there is a TON!!! But, I am organized enough that what they have asked for so far, I have been able to get in just a couple hours. In the mean time we have moved in with Jared's parents to save money... So far so good, we are saving. Had a meeting yesterday with the NPH ( NON-Profit Housing) and we are shooting for JUNE!!! to start building!! I can hardly stand it. I am so excited to have my own home!!
I PROMISE to update as we go with this process!! Maybe even throw in some pictures!! I hope all is well with all of you!
Until next time...
Always,
Danielle
